Brown is known for revolutionizing the beauty industry in 1991 by introducing a range of makeup that enhanced natural beauty rather than covered it up. This is one aspect that Holmes personally appreciates about the brand and its maker. “Bobbi is exceptional and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is a company that we, as women, all turn to because it is makeup that is very accessible and makes you feel pretty. Sometimes it is just a lipstick or a blush that makes you feel like you can do what you need to do. Makeup is powerful and I am thrilled to be a part of this brand,” says Holmes.

In 1991, she and a chemist released a line of new lipsticks under the brand Bobbi Brown Essentials, which debuted at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.
