The exclusive first look at the four-piece collection that mimics Hayley Williams signature hair hue, vibrant orange just had to happened, and so it was with the first shade of eye shadow she snapped up from the brand and has been in love ever since. “I went to a MAC counter and picked up orange eye shadow from MAC, that was the beginning of the end,” said Williams. “It’s been key in making me feel like I have an onstage personality. Orange was it for me from picking up the eye shadow when I was 17. It’s not a natural color, but when I wear it , people say ‘it looks normal on you!’”

Williams was discovered in 2003 by managers Dave Steunebrink and Richard Williams, who signed the 14-year-old to a 2 year production deal. At the time she was writing pop songs with songwriters in Nashville. Williams  then formed Paramore with Josh Farro, Zac Farro, and Jeremy Davis. In 2007, she appeared in the music video for “Kiss Me” by New Found Glory.

The  Haley Williams MAC collection itself has a tart, citrusy flair with a tangerine lipstick, grapefruit eye shadow, mandarin beauty powder, and orangesicle nail lacquer. For those still intimidated by the shade (even after it was Pantone’s Color of the Year in 2012), Williams advised girls to start with the shadow and work your way up. “The Daydreaming shadow is soft and pretty when you don’t keep layering it,” she explained. “I love colors like that you get two looks. The orange lipstick maybe isn’t for [every] girl. But it could be! The best thing about makeup is that it’s complete self expression, it art on your face.”

The Hay Williams collection was released by  MACCosmetics.com exclusively on April 9th, and Paramore’s newest album, Paramore, was released on April 5th.

The collection is only four pieces, but it’s just enough brightness to make you stand out without going overboard.  Hayley Williams Kiss Me a MAC Collection.
