ZO Skin Health preparation for Thermage or Fraxel, so why is it so important to follow a 6 week protocol of ZO Medical skin treatments before you embark on a Thermage or Fraxel treatment in Hong Kong?  According to Dr. L.M. Chan – Parkway Skin and Wellness Centre Hong Kong at my recent consultation, “Medical grade skincare is the foundation of an effective and successful skin treatment program,” a program that I personally plan to take in the next couple of months, after I have prepared my skin using a planned ZO Skin Health treatment protocol in restoring skin health.

It is important to note that medical grade skincare is versatile and potent. This means that it should be customized and individualized to the prospective patient’s needs and skin type.  In all honesty this can only be done properly with a physician’s supervision.

Poor or inadequate supervision can lead to overuse and even abuse of the skincare, then the patient can suffer adverse effects. With proper and supervised usage, prior to a medical procedure you are on a path that leads to good results, minimal to no side effects, and more importantly safety.

While I was living in New York, I had a Fraxel and V-Beam treatment, the treatment its self was fine and I would highly recommend then, however I was not advised to prepare my skin for both treatments.  I now believe I could have attained much better results had this been advised for me to follow. So this time, its 6 weeks of prep then back to Dr. L. M Chan for a Thermage. Before leaving ParkwayHealth Skin and Wellness Centre I need a briefing with Carrie Cheng, Clinic Manager to complete my documentation and take a series of photos using a Facial Imaging System.

My preparation consists of seven ZO Medical Skin treatment products, which I use a.m. / p.m. My first product is NORMACLEANSETM a very rich and creamy cleanser that removes oil and impurities from the skin while providing nourishing, moisturizing and calming effects to the skin. Moisten the hands and use a small amount of this unique formula to the face, massage well for around 40 – 60 seconds no short cuts please!

NORMACLEANSETM  emulsifies very easily, it gently cleanses and conditions the skin while peptides and collagen-boosting complexes firm the skin. This highly advanced surfactant matrix removes impurities and oil, preparing the skin for therapeutic treatments. Key ingredients which stand out for NORMACLEANSETM are 1)Sodium Hyaluronate  or Hyaluronic acid, 2) Allantoin –  this increases the water content of the extracellular matrix, 3) Advanced Lipopeptide-Myristoyl Pentapeptide-8  – stimulates collagen production.  Just by reviewing some of the ingredients in NORMACLEANSETM  you can see this is a stand out skin cleanser.
