In celebration of Mother’s Day 2013, JOHNSON’S® baby announced  the launch of its Mum to Mum Project [on Facebook.com]. The Mum to Mum Project is a new initiative inspired by the shared bond of motherhood. JOHNSON’S® baby understands that whether you’re a first-time mother or an experienced mum with a growing family, every baby brings its own surprises. It’s not always easy and sometimes a simple reassuring word from a fellow mum can go a long way. In fact, results from a JOHNSON’S® baby survey show that 79% of mumsi turn first to either their own mum or others with children, when in need of help, advice or a little encouragement.

The Mum to Mum Project has been designed to give mums from all over Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to share their little pieces of motherly wisdom with new mums who are just starting their journey. JOHNSON’S® baby has developed a custom-built Facebook app, to allow the amazing words of mothers to come together and form a virtual patchwork of collective wisdom. Each mother’s individual message represents its own unique ‘patch’ on the quilt.

“A little reassurance from another mum can make you smile, laugh or just set your mind at ease. The JOHNSON’S® baby Mum to Mum Project allows mothers to draw from their own experiences to give new mums the confidence that they are doing a great job,” said Lil Fazio, JOHNSON’S® baby, Senior Brand Manager. “Together, with the 99% of mums already on Facebookii, we have the power to touch hundreds of thousands of families with messages of  inspiration and positivity.”

Mums who wish to share their words of wisdom can log on to the JOHNSON’S® baby Australia Facebook page to create a fun and colourful patch on the Mum to Mum Project app. Once there, they can also view, share or vote for their favourite patch. The most popular messages will be printed on two thousand Mum to Mum baby wraps and donated to the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute – JOHNSON’S® baby’s official charity partner. Each baby wrap will be gifted to a mother and baby involved in research to improve children’s health in Australia and around the world.
