Created in collaboration with Kerstin Thompson Architects, Aesop Collins Street whispers to an epoch of old-world gentlemen’s clubs – a nod to the historic Athenaeum Club located next door – while speaking directly to the area’s discerning clientele.

The store’s interior is striking in its masculine elegance; an imposing leather curtain sweeps from the front to the rear, accented by brass cabinets, blackened steel and copper fixtures, and goat hair carpet, the whole effecting a contained gentlemanly grandeur. A purpose-built mirrored bureau serves as a space where consultants can introduce customers to Aesop’s complete offering.

Customers can explore and select from a complete range of skin, hair and body care products, distinguished by botanical and laboratory-generated ingredients of the highest quality. The store’s trained consultants are able to offer advice about products best suited to individual needs. Aesop was founded in Melbourne in 1987 and today offers its superlative skin, hair and body care products in signature stores around the world. As the company evolves, meticulously considered design remains paramount to the creation of each space.
